Hey can someone proof this for me and help me write a conclusion for my Memoir? Thanks! WILL FAN AND MEDAL
I fondly remember the time I first saw the parakeets in the pet store. There were many flying acrobats in the enclosure, but there was one parakeet who caught my eye. He was a brilliant hue that matched the sky. At first sight, I knew he was the parakeet for me. It was the sunny afternoon of August 12, 2012, when my parents decided to take me to PetSmart to see the parakeets. We had been there many times before, for I had wanted a bird for a very long time, therefore, this was no surprise to me. As we drove down the street, I wondered how long it would take for me to earn enough money for a parakeet and all of its necessities. When we reached the pet store, I gleefully entered and rushed straight to the parakeets. As the enclosure neared my sight, I noticed one bird that stood out. He was a beautiful bird, with eyes like tiny black pearls, and a chest that looked like a piece of sky. I was calmly looking at the parakeets; it was not until my parents said, “Pick out your new pet parakeet,” that I entered a state of shock. Wow! My very own parakeet! I found the parakeet that had caught my eye since the very beginning. A parakeet I had my eyes on since we first entered PetSmart. The parakeet that I knew at first sight he was the bird for me. I looked at my parents and told them that was the one that I wanted. We called for the waiting employee and pointed to the beautiful bird. It was extremely pitiful watching the employee aimlessly grab into the enclosure, frightening the poor birds. Finally, the employee made one desperate attempt to grab the bird I wanted. Swoop! She had grabbed the parakeet and put him in a box! We walked to the cash register, paid for the bird and his necessities, and then drove home. As I looked out the car window, I thought of names for my new parakeet. Fluffy? No, probably not. Stormy? No, he wasn’t the color of a storm cloud. I suddenly remembered my first thoughts as I entered the pet store. A chest that looked like a piece of sky. Sky! That’s it! I will name him Sky! I thought.
