We know liquids doesn't have a particular shape it takes the shape of the container but it does have a volume.
Gases are the ones who doesn't have either a definite volume or a shape.

Look it says when u put the particular substance inside a 100mL box it has a volume of 100mL and it takes the shape of the container.
And when it is put to a 50mL container it takes 50mL and the shape of the container.
As u can see it has no definite shape or a volume
