Find the roots (zeros) of x^3+2x^2-6x-6

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Hint try and factor by grouping

OpenStudy (welshfella):

No that wont work

OpenStudy (welshfella):

a good idea would be to graph this one. Use the on line Desmos graphing feature

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Otherwise it would be a long winded trial and error procedure.

OpenStudy (gibbs):

welshfella are you a qualified helper?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

No

OpenStudy (welshfella):

and I don't want to be

OpenStudy (welshfella):

@Thanassi99 I drew the graph and the roots are not integers A graphical calculator or desmos is your best bet.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

now if the last number was 12 instead of 6 we would be able to find the roots easily

OpenStudy (welshfella):

try https://www.desmos.com/calculator

OpenStudy (welshfella):

just type the equation in left hand panel and it will draw the graph for you.
