Please help me! An atom with one valence electron combines with an atom with seven valence electrons. What is likely to happen to the atom with one valence electron? A. It will share its valence electron with the other atom. B. It will take one electron from the other atom. C. It will give up its valence electron to the other atom. D. It will take all seven electrons from the other atom.

It's C because all atoms either want full electron rings or empty ones. Either 8 or 0. So which one is closer for the one with 1 valence electron?
obviously to give it away is closer
