Which of the following is not an effective verbal strategy for public speaking? Use a conversational tone. Pronounce key words slowly. Use a visual aid. Vary the pitch and tone of your voice.

All of these seem pretty normal for public speaking. But if you had to go to a decision, varying the pitch of your voice seems a little odd. I mean it's incredibly vague. It really depends by how much and how it greatly affects the audience with that detail.
