quick algebra question?
please look at attachment for question and graph.
y-intercept is a point where intersect y-axis x-intercept is a point where line intersect x-axis slope =rise over run if the line is decreasing then slope would be negative if the line is increasing then slope would be positive
Ok so the slope will be negative. y=(0,4) x= (1,0) ?? Is that right
@Nnesha
yes right
now two ways to find slope slope = rise over so just how count how many units its going up(well in this case slope is negative so how many units down and then how many units to the right side ) `OR` you can pick two order to find use slope formula to find slope
you can use x-intercept and y-intercept (0,4)(1,0) to find slope
\[\huge\rm \frac{ y_2 - y_1 }{ x_2 -x_1 }\] formula
-4! I got it :)
yep right
thanks so much! i wrote the equation as f(x)=-4x+4 I appreciate your help that was a lot easier than I thought lol!
np :=) good work!
