Please help. Find a rational number and an irrational number that are between 5.2 and 5.5. Include the decimal approximation of the irrational number to the nearest hundredth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5.4 is irrational

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A rational number has a decimal representation that terminates or that repeats in a pattern. Examples of rational numbers in the range. 5.3 5.33333... (e.g. 5 1/3) 5.35 5.363636... (e.g. 5 12/33) 5.4 5.44444... (i.e. 5 4/9) 5.49 (i.e. 5 49/100) For an irrational number, it's probably easiest to think of a square root that is in that range. 5.2² = 27.04 5.5² = 30.25 So a couple answers that would work are: √28 and √29

oh ok

btw love your profile pic @STOPDemyxTime @darth-aiden

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a rational numbers repeats or ends while a irrational number keeps on going and doesn't repeat like pie

Haha, thanks @abbyfox101 :3 #Rose10
