How to convert this to a unit: 63yd;feet plzzzz help

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

Okay so, 1 yard=3 feet.

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

Wait. Are we converting it to feet. I am kinda confused.

OpenStudy (sophiaholder):

If we are, then you should multiply 63*3, and you would get your answer. However, I am kinda confused what we are doing here.

OpenStudy (ghostgate):

sophiaholder is right, if you're converting from yards to feet it is simply 63 x 3, otherwise there are other methods, such as: yards to inches, yards to meters, or perhaps yards to cm. Anyhow, allow me to demonstrate each one for you: 1 Yard = 3 Feet so... 63 yards = (63 x 3) feet. 1 Yard = 36 Inches so... 63 yards = (63 x 36) inches. (1 cm = 0.393701 inches, but for the sake of that I will measure it as: 1 cm = 0.4 inches.) 1 Yard = 0.9 Meters so... 63 yards = (63 x 0.9) Meters 1 Yard = 90 centimeters so... 63 yards = (63 x 90) centimeters. You should be able to do the Math, right? If you want, I can review your answers and see if you're right, or I may help you do the math. Anyways, I hope this helps! Have a great day! {---Ghostgate---}
