ok, you need to know that the sum of the three angles in any triangle is 180 and the sum of the angles that make up a straight line is also 180

okay so would 4x=140

Angles that make up a straight line total 180, supplimentary angles STU + STR = 180

okay so instead of looking at this like a triangle I should look at this like its two angles that are supplementary?

you can look at it a few different ways, the short way i just did it was to realize STU + STR = 180 20 +4x = 180 4x = 160 x = 40

or if you want to use the fact that all 3 angles in a triangle add to 180 you can draw this ...

but wouldn't it be 40+4x=180?
