Help with determinate

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

I get 0. Here is my work. They say it is 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Check your first determinant.

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

2*0 is zero.

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

gurr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same problem with the third one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And there's also an error with the second one...

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

How? -1 - 4 is -5. Multiply that by -1 and you get 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\begin{vmatrix}3&2\\0&1\end{vmatrix}=3-0\]\[\begin{vmatrix}-1&2\\2&1\end{vmatrix}=-1-4\]\[\begin{vmatrix}-1&3\\2&0\end{vmatrix}=0-6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see, you distributed \(-1\) already. Never mind about the second one.

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

Okie dokie. its 5

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

@SithsAndGiggles Ummm. So what did you get?

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

Is it -5 or 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same as you, it's positive.
