How would I graph this function ? & compare the grap with the graph? Y= 2|x+1|-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Graph**

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Umm, this is the Alg 2 functions right?

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

If so Vertex: -1, -6 Slope: 2/1

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Out take the inverse of the number in the absolute value parameters which is 1, inverse it, to -1. Then take the number outside of it to the left to get the y. With the number inside being the x. The number that is outside, to the left, right next to the absolute value parameters that is in a position like itʻs being multiplied by the absolute value parameters, that is your slope

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

After that, you just start at the vertex and use the slow to graph

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

@ShadowLegendX me if you need further help
