From where did the Europeans learn about coffee

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

It came from the Ottoman Empire. After the siege of Vienna, the Viennese ran out to loot the remnants of the Ottoman camp. There they found coffee beans. They brewed it and were appalled by the bitterness, and mixed it with milk and sugar. This concoction was made by a Dominican Friar named Cappuccino. That's where we get the name. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20141204083750AAY8pWS
