What is angular momentum practically ,I am unable to feel it?plz rply as soon as possible...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The momentum which is produced by changing torque of a rotating body is angular momentum...it is felt by divers when they encircle themselves to increase their rotation....and other factors also play their role moment of inertia etc....not willing to go in detail

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angular momentum is given by the formula mvr. m= mass v= velocity r =radius of rotation it is only applicable to rotating bodies. it can be practically understood through everyday activities like closing a door. when you close the door holding the outer edge it easier to close as the radius is high to produce angular momentum easily. but pushing the inner side is hard. torque is the equivalent of force in rotating bodies. its defined as the rate of change of angular momentum. so greater the radius, greater is the torque. hope this helps u :)
