@hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

X co-ordinate of the Vertex of \(y = ax^2+bx+c\) is just \(\Large \dfrac{-b}{2a}\) so first step will be to find a,b compare y = x^2 +6x+ 8 with y = ax^2+bx+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would my answers ba a and d?

hartnn (hartnn):

'a' is correct :) but since a= 1, b =6 using the formula, the x co-ordinate will be \(\Large \dfrac{-b}{2a} = \dfrac{-6}{2(1)}\)

hartnn (hartnn):

so 'a' and 'b' :)

oh ok thnx
