How to evaluate quadratic functions? If the given is a(x)=3x+6 and c(x)=x^2-7x+8 Then how do I evaluate a(x)-c(x)?

Nnesha (nnesha):

subtract \[\huge\rm \color{Red}{a(x)} -\color{blue}{ c(x)}\] a(x) =3x+6 so replace a(x) with 3x+6 \[\huge\rm \color{reD}{(3x+6)}-\color{blue}{(x^2-7x+8)}\]

Nnesha (nnesha):

first distribute 2nd parentheses y negative one and then combine like terms

do I completley solve the problem or do i leave it alone after that

Nnesha (nnesha):

then leave it alone u just have to subtract both functions that's it

\[-x^2+10x-2\] right?

Nnesha (nnesha):

i just want to ask `one` question just one how did you get 10x ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7x and 3x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i combined them .

Nnesha (nnesha):

looks good right good job!

thank you!c:
