anyone know how to do this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

imqwerty (imqwerty):

No ༼•͟ ͜ •༽

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what do we know about the properties of an iso triangle?

imqwerty (imqwerty):

what is a triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

honestly i am not sure

OpenStudy (amistre64):

any thoughts of yours can be worked with ... wrong ones can be corrected. right ones can be praised :)

imqwerty (imqwerty):

ur not sure means ur confused so tell where u confused ༼•͟ ͜ •༽

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well okay im not sure what I am suppose to do how to solve the triangle its really confusing me so i know the given is E (2x + 24) and F (4x-4) do i combine those and solve for x or what ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the information given is that the riangle is isoscolese (spelling?) iso mean that there is some sore of equality going on ... but not as drastic as 'everything' being equal.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lots of typos in that

OpenStudy (amistre64):

equilateral; all sides are equal; all angles are equal isosolese; 2 sides and 2 angles are equal in this case, E=F

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be (2x+24) = (4x-4)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you combine like terms?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when we know what x is equal to, then we can define the values of E and F, and the missing angle; becuase the sum of the angles of a triangle equal to ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=14 ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x=14 yes

OpenStudy (amistre64):

now, 2x+24 is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you do for g?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what does the sum of the angles of a triangle have to add up to?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

..and the power goes out in the rain ... and its raining here :)
