when dividing with different signs.... if the signs are the same, the answer is positive. If the signs are different, the answer is negative. Does that help ?

now notice that the 100 in your original problem is positive....and the 10 is negative....so the signs are different....that means the answer is negative. So you answer is -10....understand ?
