@imqwerty

OpenStudy (baru):

do you know "slope"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (baru):

so if you are given the equation of a line y=mx +c, can you recognize what its slope is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope would be m

OpenStudy (baru):

yep, now what you have to do is : that the four options are in the form y=mx +c, except you have "s" instead of y, and "d" instead of x

OpenStudy (baru):

so re-arrange the equations till you get them in y=mx +c form

OpenStudy (baru):

with me so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but you put + its meant to be - there is no + in the answers given

OpenStudy (baru):

think of it this way: the varibles m and c can be positve or negative, so you might get y=mx +c or y=-mx-c or y=mx-c too

OpenStudy (baru):

if you have got y= -mx + c it just means that the slope is a negative number

OpenStudy (baru):

making sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the final answer would be c?

OpenStudy (baru):

you mean the third option? for the first question... no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its the last option?

OpenStudy (baru):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and any idea on the second one?
