Juan has to pay rent for his apartment in a few days and has just enough money saved. However, he sees a shirt in a shop on sale for a good price that he has wanted for a long time. Juan decides to buy the shirt. Evaluate Juan’s actions.
He should not have bought the shirt because shelter is a need and clothing is a want. He should not have bought the shirt because, though both are wants, he has other shirts but only one apartment. Well, if he has to pay his rent in a few days, and that's all the money he has saved, it is not a good idea to spend some of it unless he can replace that money before the rent must be paid. The shirt will not look as nice after he's slept in it on a park bench a few times, after all :-)
