A jar contains 0.85 liter of strawberry juice and 0.50 liter of mango juice. Celina poured 0.15 liter of watermelon juice into the jar. She then drank 0.30 liter of the mixture. Part A: Write an expression to represent the total amount of juice left in the jar. Part B: Identify which property is used in each step to simplify the expression.

@Michele_Laino are available to help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for part A lets say that "s" is Strawberry Juice and "m" is mango juice. @KAKES1967

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then we can use "w" as watermelon juice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now do you have any idea what the expression should be or do you still need me to explain more?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so that that is a great expression for part A. Now moving on to part B...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the basic math properties that you can choose from?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: step by step, your comnputation is: ((0.85+0.5)+0.15)-0.3

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

computation*

OpenStudy (anonymous):
