CLOWN: What is love? 'tis not hereafter; Present mirth hath present laughter; What's to come is still unsure. In delay there lies no plenty; Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty; Youth's a stuff will not endure! somebody please help me understand what this means i medal

to me, the focus of this is on love itself and timing. "Present mirth hath present laughter; What's to come is still unsure. In delay there lies no plenty;" this is saying the the present action results in a present reaction. you can't know what will happen in the future, and you'll gain nothing by waiting to see the future. as for the love, it seems to suggest that love is best in youth, and youth doesn't last forever (a "enjoy it while you can" kind of philosophy). does this help at all?
