How would you convince a fellow student that the number 0.57 is a rational number? You need at least 4 or more sentences

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

A rational number is defined as any number that can be turned into a fraction. 0.57 can be written as 57/100, which is obviously a fraction, and therefore, a rational number. well....there is 2 sentences for you.

thankyou

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am trying to think of something else to write....possibly give examples of irrational numbers and tell why they are not rational ??

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

for instance, the sq rt of 2 is irrational because it is non-terminating (never ending), and therefore, cannot be a fraction.
