Nnesha (nnesha):

slope = rise over run 2nd one is incorrect.

OpenStudy (adajiamcneal):

how would i do it?

Nnesha (nnesha):

tell how did you get the answer for first one ?

OpenStudy (adajiamcneal):

honestly all i did was put 2 on y and looked at y and seen i got 4 in between i dont really know how to do this stuff...

Nnesha (nnesha):

for slope : 2 ways you can pick two points and use the slope formula OR you can use slope =rise over run definition

imqwerty (imqwerty):

jst do 1 thing if u have any equation like this- \[ax+by=c\]then just divide all over by c u get-\[\frac{ ax }{ c }+\frac{ by }{ c }=\frac{ c }{ c}\]\[\frac{ x }{\frac{ c }{ a } }+\frac{ y }{ \frac{ c }{ b } }=1\] now when u get this the c/a is the point where the line cuts x axis in 1st case c/a=2 so line will cut x axis at (2,0) and c/b= the point where line cuts y axis in 1st case its (0,2) so jst join these to points and thats ur line

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1443472884776:dw| rise = how many units it's going up and then run(right ) unit
