how important was the black vote in electing Grant and how did this political factor affect the Reconstruction policy of the Republican party?

okay i dont know if this was right but heres what i put incase any one needs it in the future;;

The black vote helped Grant win his presidency. This reduced support for the Reconstruction policy in the North, because they though slavery problems were dead and gone when president Grant used the Force Acts passed by the congress to protect african americans.
