ax^2 + bx + c = 0 calculate the b^2 - 4ac term that is seen under the root in the quadratic formula the value of that will tell you the answer

@sereen2001 It doesnt matter as long as you find the value of the discriminant, which I have forgotten to use instead.

Could I set it equal to x^2 instead. That's how my teacher does it and I would refer to do it that way instead if thats okay
