if a bowling ball were moved from Earth to the moon, how would it's weight and mass change? A. The bowling ball would weigh the same, but it's mass would increase B. The bowling ball would weigh the same, but it's mass would decrease. C. The bowling ball would weigh less on the moon, but it's mass would stay the same. D. The bowling ball will weigh more on the moon, but its mass would stay the same
C. An object will always contain the same amount of mass no matter what, but weight changes with gravity. Gravity is the the weight of an object puling it down against earth. Say someone weighs 150 pounds. That means that gravity is pulling them down towards earth at the weight of 150 pounds. That's how much they weight, because that's the force of gravity on them. Take away gravity, and they'll weight less because there's not that force pulling on them. Make sense? :) Mass is your composition. It's what makes you up to be you. That will never change.
