help please! :)
A proportional relationship between the number of pounds of potatoes (x) and the price in dollars (y) is graphed, and the ordered pair (5, 4) is on the graphed line. Part A: What is the price of 1 pound of potatoes? Show your work, including the proportion you used to determine the price. (8 points) Part B: What does the ordered pair (10, 8) on the graph represent? Explain in words. (2 points)
@Michele_Laino
I assume the relationship is linear in the form y = mx +c If (5,4) is on the line we can calculate the equation gradient m = change in y over change in x, = 4/5 y = 4/5 * x +c 4 = 4/5 * 5 +c c = 0 y = 4/5 x Part a if x = 1 then y = 4/5 part b is 2 times (5,4) so 10 pounds of potatoes cost 8 dollers
@Michele_Laino
i gave u the answer
plz medal me
thz
are you sure that thats the correct answer
highlight your question and google it u can check there
i dont want an answer from google! i want the answer in your own words thats why im tagging @Michele_Laino because she helps me out in her own words:)
it is i answered this question before on brainly that is the right answr
from your data we have that 5 potatoes cost 4 dollar, so the cost of a single potato is: 4/5=...?
0.8
ok! 1 pound of potatoes costs 0.8 dollars
finally, the ordered pair (10,8) represent the point which I get if I consider 10 pounds of potatoes, and which cost is 8 dollars. Infact the costs of 1 pound of potatoes is 0.8 dollars, so the cost of 10 pounds of potatorĂ¹es is 0.8*10=8 dollars

awesome! so whats the final and completed answer?
@Michele_Laino
we can say this: "the ordered pair (10,8) represents another point of our graph, more precisely it indicates taht the cost of 10 pounds of potatoes is 8 dollars"
i told u the same thing he is telling u
