My english teacher wants me to write a compare and contrast essay about anything I want. She has been telling me that I am good at writing, but I need to be more creative. Any ideas on a good compare and contrast topic?

Compare means to explain the differences and similarities between people, places, ideas, etc. Contrast means to explain ONLY the differences. So I am assuming all you need to do is to come up with two subjects to compare the differences and similarities between the two. Personally, I would recommend talking about salt and fresh water. Also, if you know what literary devices are, take advantage of those to add some flavor to your essay.
