A eukaryotic cell is a cell with many chromosomes and it has a nucleus. They are generally found in plants/animals. A prokaryotic cell is a cell with one chromosome, which is usually just a plasma. They have no nucleus, which means the DNA just floats around inside the cell. They are typically categorized as bacteria or archea
