You have to use negative words as: no, nunca, tampoco, nada, jamás in your sentence:
Yo nunca como pasta.
Tú no debiste hablar así.
Nada nos gustó.
Juan no quiere hablar y yo tampoco.
¡Jamás volveré a esta tienda!
Notice that you use "no" before the verb to make the most of the negatives statements in Spanish.
