Help me please! Easy question.

OpenStudy (steve816):

Can this be simplified?\[\sqrt{4-x^2}\]

OpenStudy (steve816):

@IrishBoy123 Do you know how to do this?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

context? you can always factor \(4-x^2\) but that doesn't make it simpler, least not to me :p

OpenStudy (steve816):

Wouldn't it be just 2-x

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

\((2-x)(2+x)= 4 - x^2\)

OpenStudy (steve816):

Oh, okay

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

\((2-x)^2 \ne 4 - x^2\)

OpenStudy (steve816):

Thanks for the help :)

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

:p
