Well, Anderson and his troops fired cautiously within the walls due to the fact that the fort had little enough ammunition to support an equal fight.
Generally, the Confederates under the leadership of Captain Beauregard won by overall firepower, shooting over 3.5 thousand rounds into the walls of Fort Sumter.
