OpenStudy (katnissstyles000):

OpenStudy (katnissstyles000):

i dont get it. i dont get the whole thing @jojo12g

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y = -2x + 5 (2,-9)....x = 2 and y = -9 now we sub -9 = -2(2) + 5 -9 = -4 + 5 -9 = 1 (this is NOT a solution because both sides do not equal. (-2,9)....x = -2 and y = 9 now we sub 9 = -2(-2) + 5 9 = 4 + 5 9 = 9 (this IS a solution because both sides equal. Understand ? So your answer is : Only (-2,9)

OpenStudy (katnissstyles000):

@texaschic101 i still dont get it i have to have hands on activities or something i can understand

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

it is just a matter of subbing in your (x,y) points into the equation and seeing which ones come out to be true.

OpenStudy (katnissstyles000):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

YW :)

OpenStudy (katnissstyles000):
