to answer these you need to know 
congruent means identical size and shape (i.e. the triangles are exact matches)

If you know that the 3 sides of a triangle exactly match another triangle's 3 sides, then you know the triangles are congruent.  People say if you have side-side-side, the triangles are congruent.  They abbreviate that sss.  For example,
