you know leave as 0 or bump to 1 (dropping everything else to the right of that digit)
the number in the hundredths place is 7

another way to do it is to add 5 to place beyond where you are rounding, then just chop off the digits beyond the place where you round:

I'll do that same problem this way:

47268.568593 we want to round to the place containing the 8, so we add 5 to the next place:
