My experience has been that instructors don't expect you to magically learn the information out of thin air, but rather provide lectures, reading assignments, etc. from which you can learn the material.  I'm reasonably confident that this is true for you as well.

well obviously the higher level of education provides the company with a more well-rounded employee the majority of times
