but wouldn't it be \[1/2*k(x)^{2}=m _{A}v_{1}+m_{B}v_{2}\]
\[\Delta W= -\Delta U_{s}\] \[-(\frac{ 1 }{ 2}kx _{f}^2-\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }kx _{i}^2)=(\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }mv _{f}^2-\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }mv _{i}^2)\]
