Which is more important when a person thinks or does?

I would venture to say, what a person thinks is infinitely more important than what a person does. A persons thought not only directly effects their actions, but also reflects that individuals character.

Please forgive me ahead of time for being so crass, but an example to my logic would be the following. A man murders another man, its more than probable that the jury would convict him based on if he had pre-meditated intentions in doing so or if it was just a reaction to a situation. I.E:: self defense.

a person does is more nice
