Some dystopian society in some books could be the Divergent series, the Hunger Games series, the Matched series, the Giver, the Maze Runner series. Most of these books are movies so you could read the book or watch the movie or do both, that might help you. Also some movies are Robocop and In Time. There are others but these would probably be the best one for your assignment.
