Someone please help! Write a function for the graph described as a transformation of y=x^2 . 12. y=x^2 experiences a vertical stretch of factor 2 and then a shift right of 3 units.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok so we have the parent function y = x^2 |dw:1443826223302:dw|

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

we know that "a vertical stretch of factor 2" is applied to this parent function what this does is basically make the graph twice as tall. In terms of the equation, we simply just multiply the x^2 by 2 |dw:1443826284551:dw|
