if we're in the year 2000, then what must x be?
I plug 2000 in for x right...? Or am I way off?
hint: x = 0 corresponds to the year 1990 since it says "x years after 1990"

What?
if we wanted to find the cumulative number of AIDS deaths in 1990, then we'd plug in x = 0 for 1991, we plug in x = 1 for 1992, we plug in x = 2 etc etc
So x=10 ?
yes since 2000 is ten years after 1990
plug x = 10 into the f(x) function
