OpenStudy (marcelie):

Help please !!!! How do I find the y int and xnt of this equation .... H(x)= 3ln (x) -9 I attached a picture of it ..

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

there is no y intercept because you cannot plug in x = 0

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ln(0) is undefined

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to find the x intercept, solve 3ln(x)-9=0 for x

OpenStudy (marcelie):

How do I solve y int and how do I solve it please show me steps :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

like I said, ln(0) is undefined so there is no y intercept

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

3ln(x)-9=0 3ln(x)-9+9=0+9 3ln(x) = 9 3ln(x)/3 = 9/3 ln(x) = 3 x = e^3 x = 20.0855369 so the x intercept is approximately 20.0855369 this means the graph crosses the x axis at about (20.0855369, 0)

OpenStudy (marcelie):

Ah okay ty :)
