OpenStudy (calculusxy):

If 5 x ( P + Q ) = 30 and P is greater than zero, then Q could not be A. 7 B. 4 C. 3 1/2 D. 0 E. -2

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

@hartnn

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Would it be A ?

hartnn (hartnn):

what have you tried?? divide both sides by 5

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I know that 5 x 6 = 30 and if we have 7 then it's greater than 6, the product won't be 30.

hartnn (hartnn):

P+ Q =6 and since P > 0 Q must be less than 6

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

oh yeah true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A is correct as the question is asking what it cannot be

hartnn (hartnn):

so yes, it would be A :)

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

okay thank you!
