zepdrix (zepdrix):

@bella280 you can use the "attach file" button located at the bottom of the text box here! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's none :( I'm doing it from my cell phone. Do I need to get on a computer to attach a file?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

oh... probably :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay I'm going to try right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first file is numbers 10-21 second file is numbers 28-31 third file is numbers 24-39

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hold on, Im gonna repost the images :) It's really bugging me that they're rotated lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry about that. thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

zepdrix (zepdrix):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes those are the questions would you be able to help me with them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and wow ur amazing with fixing pictures.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\large\rm 3y\sqrt{98}+15y \sqrt2\]With this type of problem, they usually want you to try and get both roots in terms of the smaller one. So here, we'd like to write both as a \(\large\rm \sqrt2\) if we are able to. I'll show you how we can do that with the 98,\[\large\rm \sqrt{98}=\sqrt{49\cdot2}=\sqrt{49}\cdot\sqrt2=7\cdot2\]What I'm doing is: I'm writing 98 as 49*2, then im writing them as separate roots, because the 49 can come out of the root.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Woops! typo on that last step :)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

\[\large\rm \color{orangered}{\sqrt{49}}\cdot\sqrt2=\color{orangered}{7}\cdot\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you actually be able to give me all the answers to the problems. because i just want to check my work. please

zepdrix (zepdrix):

no sorry :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:( please i know im a stranger and all its just im so stressed out and im studying for a bug exam tomorrow. it would mean the world to me

zepdrix (zepdrix):

I can show you how to do a few of them :O I'm not gonna do your homework for you though XD lol \[\large\rm 3y\color{orangered}{\sqrt{98}}+15y \sqrt2\]\[\large\rm 3y\color{orangered}{\sqrt{49\cdot2}}+15y \sqrt2\]\[\large\rm 3y\color{orangered}{\sqrt{49}\cdot\sqrt{2}}+15y \sqrt2\]\[\large\rm 3y\color{orangered}{\cdot7\cdot\sqrt{2}}+15y \sqrt2\]Multiply the 7 and 3,\[\large\rm 21y \sqrt2+15y \sqrt2\]Think of y sqrt(2) as your ..thing. \(\large\rm y\sqrt2=apple\) So the problem is really just\[\large\rm 21apples+15apples\]So we get\[\large\rm 36apples=36y \sqrt2\]for our answer.
