Which of the following was not a result of the construction of the canal from Lake Erie to the Hudson River? @Photon336 A.) Employment opportunities grew, especially for immigrants B.) The cost of transporting goods dropped significantly C.) Federal financing became more readily available D.) Construction boomed along the canal route
Let's look at A and D first. Consider that when the canal was constructed they wanted to increase commerce. so think of it this way, @Breelervsyu if you have a much easier way to transport goods and a much faster way then the prices are most likely to go up or down? also, think about it. now that commerce and trade is easier. would you want to construct say a business/house along the canal? now that more ships are passing through what do you think
So would it be D?
I feel that construction would have boomed because commerce/trade would have increased, this would have created more jobs for immigrants too. so I think maybe it's C
i feel that A,B and D are true
Thank you much!
for this try to think it through one thing follow the other if trade becomes easier, prices go down and more people start using the canal. then people say hey I can make money by making business on the canal, construction goes up, and then more jobs become available too.
