Hi! I need help with Math. What was the approximate number of mobile cellular subscriptions per 100 people in Zimbabwe in 2003?

I have posted this question three times and I have not gotten any feedback or help. PLEASE HELP!

You need to explain what you posted. It is the results of an exponential regression of a given data set. The results show that the modelling function is f(x)=ab^x, where a=1.06795095 b=1.501755837 The regression coefficient is 0.97, which means that the model is quite close to the points on the data set. HOWEVER, unfortunately the question did not state what x stands for, i.e. x is not properly defined. Now back to the question: What was the approximate number of mobile cellular subscriptions per 100 people in Zimbabwe in 2003. A reasonable GUESS for the value of "x" in the regression equation is number of years since 2000. So for 2003, x=3, and substitute in the formula to get a value. Round this value to the nearest integer will give you the \(probably\) answer.

*probable

OpenStudy (emmynimmy):

but how do i put that all together?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Substitute x=3 in the following: f(x)=ab^x, where a=1.06795095 b=1.501755837 AND remember that x has not been defined by the question, so x=3 is only a GUESS under circumstances of insufficient information, unless you have unposted additional information.
