OpenStudy (phi):

it is good to remember that when you multiply \[ 9 \times \frac{8}{9} \] you can write it like this \[ \frac{9}{1} \times \frac{8}{9} \] you multiply top times top and bottom times bottom \[ \frac{9\times 8}{1\times 9} \] when you multiply you can change the order: \[ \frac{9\times 8}{9\times 1} \] that is the same as \[ \frac{9}{9} \times\frac{8}{1} \]

OpenStudy (phi):

everybody knows that a number divided by itself is 1 so \[ \frac{9}{9} = 1\] and you have \[ 1 \times \frac{8}{1} \]
