which expresses the polynomial in standard form? 12x^3+5+5x^2-6x^2+3x^3-2-x A. 15x^6-11x^4-x+7 B. 15x^3-x2-x+3 c. 15x^5-3x^2-x+3 D. 15x^3+x^2-x+3

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

Hey there :) gimme a min to solve it and ill show you how to do it ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay awesome thank you :)

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

alright so i believe it just wants it simplified. so if you do that you'll get 15x^3-x^2-x+3

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

do you understand how to get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really. Sorry im terrible at this.

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

Alright so,

OpenStudy (yoloshroom):

We're just simplifying the problem :) everything that is 12x^3 for example has to be added/subtracted with each other. and so on with each "Like term" in the problem above. So 12x^3 and 3x^3 are added together since they're both positive :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh okay I think i get it :) Thank you. Do you think you could help me out on a few more problems?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which expression is equivalent to this expression? (5x^2-4x+5)-(3x^2-6x+2) A. 2x^2+2x+3 B. 15x^2-10x+7 C. 2x^2-2x+3 D. 2x^2-10x+7
