What was the main issue relating to Reconstruction that divided Republicans at the end of the Civil War? If you had been a member of Congress at the time, what type of plan for Reconstruction would you have supported and why? @photon336

Remember that after the civil war the south was devastated economically. Lincoln favored a plan that called for a rapid re integration of southern states into the union. He wanted the south to re-join the union quickly so that the nation could heal.
