Can someone help me in Geometry? Question posted below.
Angles on a line add to 180. so we could denote angle AEC as x and make everything equal to 180
I know that this angel is supplementary. (= 180 degrees). I just don't remember how to solve this equation to figure out the exact amount that angle AEC =. Do you know how to solve it @marigirl ?
Would you have answers to check my working? I would add all the angles uo AEB+BEC+CED 11x-12+x+4x+1=180 16x-11=189 x=191/16 Calculate angle AEC 11x-12+x =524/4
Which part do I need to solve?
I added all the angles up and made it equal to 180 and then found angle AEC (which is what the question asked) would you be able to look at the answers to see if we are on the right track?
What's the answer?
I think its 525/4 or 131.25 degrees
So AEC = 131.25?
I think so
Are you sure on that answer?
I would add all the angles up AEB+BEC+CED 11x-12+x+4x+1=180 16x-11=180 x=191/16 Question asked to calculate angle AEC 11x-12+x =525/4 or 131.25 degrees That is what i think the answer is
@TQKMB what happened
your angle aec =139
@madhu.mukherjee.946 How did you get 139?
okay wait i'm telling u
@madhu.mukherjee.946 How did you get 139?
your ec is bisecting the angle bed
so angle ceb =angle ced
so if angle ced=4x+1 your angle ceb =4x+1
now angle aeb=11x-12 is given
now there is a geometric property that states that angles on a straight line =180
now 4x+1+4x+1+11x-12=180 19x-10=180 19x=190 x=10
so now angle aec=angle aeb+angle bec =11x-12+4x+1 now putting x=10 =110-12+40+1 =139
